INSTRUCTIONS:

MATCHING:  

This exercise can be used as a matching exercise only.  (Single students can only benefit from speaking practice, if they study with a friend, or a teacher.)  

MILLING & MATCHING:

 If you have a large class, divide students into groups of 12 maximum.  Hand each student a prompt.   (Groups of 6 students should receive 2 prompts each - A & B)

Instruct students to go to other students and read out their prompt.  (Prompt A must be read first.  Prompt B is read after prompt A has been read).  Students must then decide whether their prompts match.  If they do, then they must sit down and wait for the other students to complete the exercise.

Encourage students to write examples of their own.
