  1. What does A.D.D. stand for?  What are the symptoms?
  2. What does the singer mean 'a classic'?

The Answer Key

  • Exercise:     3B

  • Practice:      Fun Comprehension Tasks

  1. Using a musical instrument, make a chord, using D-E-F.  Does it sound OK?  Play the notes separately.  Do they blend well?  Try playing D-E-F#.  Does that sound better?  Next try playing C-D-G separately and as a chord.  How do those notes compare with D-E-F?  Trying starting a tune with the notes D-E-F. and then continuing it for a few more notes.
  2. Using the internet, or library, find poems by Byron, Shelley & Keats.
    1. Try chanting these poems with a rap beat.  (Use a bongo drum, or drum machine if you have one.  Alternatively, tap on the table to keep time.)
    2. Compare the three and choose the style you like best.   Explain why.

SUBJECTS FOR COMPOSITION OR DISCUSSION
